Kendall Soccer Coalition youth soccer club, a not-for-profit organization, was created in 2005 as the result of the merger of two of Miami-Dade County’s premier competitive soccer programs: West Kendall Optimist and Southern Soccer Coalition. The organization is overseen by a majority-volunteer Board of Directors, several of who have had children in the program.
The club’s Boys, Girls and Academy programs provide an environment for elite soccer players to train together under a qualified coaching staff to elevate their play and showcase their talent in competition against top youth soccer teams across Florida and the nation. Our primary goal is to offer the best possible soccer and personal development, and to provide growth opportunities to those individuals who have the talent to potentially compete at the collegiate level or professional level. Our program places significant emphasis on preparing players for the transition to the next level of play at the same time that we assist in facilitating their access to a more affordable post-secondary education and a more prosperous future as active members of the South Florida community.
Hundreds of Kendall SC members have graduated from the program and gone on to play for college soccer teams across the country. A select group has been signed by professional teams in the U.S. or abroad either directly from the club or after completing college and a handful have also seen action for the senior national teams of their home countries.
Kendall SC is also the only youth soccer club in Miami-Dade County that is a member of the top boys soccer system in the country: The U.S. Soccer Development Academy. Our competitive teams participate in premier statewide competitions and showcase tournaments in the United States.
The organization is a program partner of Miami-Dade County and works in partnership with AYSO 450, West Kendall Optimist and Kendall Hammocks Optimist as part of the Kendall United Girls Program.
