As per directives of U.S. Soccer, Kendall SC does not hold open tryouts for the club's U12, U13, U14, U15, U17 and U19 U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) teams. Tryouts are by invitation only and include players identified from our internal player pool as well as some players that have been scouted by our coaching staff, scouted through our club affiliation program and/or players identified through the club’s regular competitive team tryout process, which begins on late May, 2020. Invitees to the USSDA tryouts will be informed directly by Kendall SC staff.

During the month of May there will be an internal evaluation and preselection process for current club members who aspire to be part of one of the USSDA teams. Those players that are preselected will advance to the final evaluation round in June, for which select players from outside the club will also be invited.

If you have been selected for the FYSA state or Region III ODP pools, participated in US Club Soccer’s id2 program or Super Y League’s ODP program, or have been invited to a US Soccer National Training Center, you may be a good candidate for consideration in the USSDA program, and should contact the club at [email protected] to request an individual evaluation. You should also have your current club DOC or club coach contact our Boys Technical Director, Renatto Soriano ([email protected]; 305-746-8956) and recommend that you be given an individual evaluation.

Players trying out for the USSDA teams are required to have a very high level of skill and commitment to the sport. All players who are not selected to the full-time Development Academy rosters, but sign to a Kendall SC team under FYSA will be eligible to be on the Developmental/Reserve rosters for the appropriate USSDA teams.
