April 21, 2010 – Kendall SC’s U9B White and U16B White walked away with championship trophies at the 2010 Miami Lakes Soccer Skills Unlimited Tournament, while the U11B White reached the finals in their division in a solid outing for the Kendall SC boys teams.

The U9B White team showed its mettle by sharing the title of the top U10 Boys Gold bracket. In the preliminary round they defeated Miami Lakes U10 Black 6-2 and Inter Milan U10 3-2 before facing off against Key Biscayne AC Milan U10
in a hard-fought 3-3 tie. The final featured a rematch against Key Biscayne, and after another tie, both teams were named Co-Champions.
The U16B White bounced back from a disappointing first round exit in the FYSA State Cup to win the U16 Boys age group. They started the weekend with wins over Royal Palm Beach Strikers (2-1) and Weston FC Swoosh (2-0), and secured a pass to the Final with a 1-1 tie against Miami Strike Force. A win over Hollywood West Select capped the journey and sent them off to a trip to the trophy stand to claim their champions medals.
The third Kendall SC team to make it to a final round match was the U11B White, who battled for the title in the U11 Boys Gold II division. The weekend did not start auspiciously after a 1-7 loss to Pinecrest Premier SC Blue in the first game, but Kendall SC corrected course by producing convincing winning margins over Miami Lakes (6-2) and PBSA Nomads Red (3-1), the latter avenging an earlier loss this season. The two victories set up a rematch against Pinecrest Premier Blue in the Final. Pinecrest would again have the upper hand, but this time Kendall SC put up a more spirited fight, dropping the decision by a 1-3 margin in their best performance against their cross-town foes this year.

Other Kendall SC teams participating in the tournament included the U9B Blue, U10B White, U11B Blue, U13B White, U15B Blue and U17B Blue.

The U17B Blue, who played up in the U18/U19 Boys bracket with the addition of a few guest players from the U18B Blue had a very strong showing, finishing undefeated, although they did not tally enough points to qualify for the final. They defeated the SFUYSA Late Season semifinalists Royal Palm Beach Strikers U18 1-0 and tied Weston FC U18 Nike 0-0 and SAA - Real Madrid U19 1-1, who also were SFUYSA Late Season semifinalists in the U19 category.
The U13B White was set to advance to the Final of the U13 Boys Gold group when they forfeited their last game against Boynton Beach Knights. That outcome followed a 0-0 tie against Orlando FC QPR Elite and a 2-1 defeat of FC Sarasota. In the U15 Boys Gold bracket the U15B Blue produced ties versus SAA Real Madrid - Castilla (0-0) and Miami Lakes SC Black (2-2), and lost a tight contest 1-2 to Weston FC Premier.
The U11B Blue did not advance to the finals, but faced off well against first division competition in the U11 Boys Gold I group. They defeated Weston FC Nike 4-3 and lost two close games to Coral Gables Toros (1-2) and FC Sarasota Elite (1=2). The U10B White had a tough going in the

Silver II bracket, losing 1-5 to Cyclone Soccer Miami and 1-7 to Weston FC U9 Boys Barcelona, before defeating Miami Lakes Orange 5-1. The U9B Blue also faced a challenging path. They were unable to come up with a victory in matches against Boynton Beach Knights, Pinecrest Premier Blue and Weston FC Inter Milan.
