U14B White Reach League’s Div. I Final and U12B White the Div. II Semifinal
February 22, 2010 – Kendall SC’s U11B Blue team continued to roll through the SFUYSA’s 2nd Division capping off an undefeated and untied regular season by claiming the championship in the league playoffs. The U14B White came up a win short of the Division 1 title, after finishing first in the regular season, and the U12B White advanced past the Division 2 quarterfinals to reach the playoff semifinal.

The U11B Blue put on a brilliant display of teamwork that led to a resounding 7-2 win over Miramar Strikers in the semifinal and followed that with an uplifting victory over second-place Margate Youth Soccer in a tight 1-0 contest. There is no doubt that this victory justifies the hard work and enthusiasm demonstrated by the players and Coach Diego Perez all season long.
The U14B White faced a challenging road to the championship match, first having to squeeze by Plantation Eagles by a 1-0 margin in the quarterfinals, and then handing Weston FC Premier its first loss of the season in another 2-1 thriller. But by the Final, the depleted team, which had 2 players out with injuries and seven others nursing other ailments, was not able to perform at its usual level and lost 0-3 to SAA-Real Madrid. As one of the team’s members put it: “We played with a traveling infirmary”. Nevertheless, they fought hard and should be very proud of their accomplishments this year.

The U12B White, who finished the regular season in a three-way tie for second place, faced Wellington Wave Blue in the quarterfinals. The Wave put up a much tougher fight than when the teams meet in the last game of the season, but Kendall SC still prevailed 3-2. In the semifinals, Marcos Colman’s boys were yet again unable to solve the riddle of Weston FC Nike, a team that was responsible for one of only two losses suffered by Kendall SC during the regular season. Weston shut down Kendall’s attack and emerged with a 1-0 victory.
Congratulations to all the Kendall SC teams for their accomplishments during the regular season.
