EARLY SEASON A BIG SUCCESS
Four Kendall SC teams finish atop their divisions
December 21, 2008 – Most Kendall SC players in the older age groups are now taking a break for the high school season, but they have a lot of positive to look back on from this year’s Early Season. A Kendall SC team finished at least tied for first place in all but one division in which the club competed.

The top performing team was the U16G White, who finished with an unblemished 10-0-0 record in the U16 Division of the FLUGSA Florida State League. They finished 7 points ahead of second-place Team Boca and had a commanding +44 goal differential – 27 goals better than any other team – and scored a superlative 5.3 goals-per-game.

In SFUYSA Early Season competition Kendall SC’s boys teams combined for a record of 31 wins, 13 losses and 9 ties, and finished in first place in both the U16 boys First and A Divisions, and the U19 First Division.

The U16B White tied for the lead in the U16 First Division with a 7-0-2 record, allowing only seven goals in nine games. The defending state champions U15B White were also playing up in that group and finished in fifth place with a solid 4-4-1 record.

The U16B Blue finished undefeated in first place in the U16 A Division with a 6-0-2 record averaging almost four goals per game and outscoring their opponents by a 15-goal margin.

The U17B Blue secured a Late Season playoff spot in the U17 First Division with a third-place finish and a 5-2-2 record. Meanwhile, the U17B White played up and shined playing in the U19 First Division finishing in first place with a 7-0-2 record and a four-point margin over Strike Force Cagliari’s U18 team. The U18B White, which was in transition following a few injuries and the departure of several players to the Miami FC Kendall U18 Academy team, struggled to a 2-7 record.
