Kendall SC U11B White Premier Champions Concorde Fire Challenge Cup

February 26, 2008 - Kendall SC’s U11B White team, coached by Marcos Colman, claimed the Premier championship at the Atlanta Concorde Fire Challenge Cup this past weekend. Kendall SC advanced to the Final after finishing first in its group with wins over three Georgia opponents: Triumph 97 Green (3-2), Liverpool (4-0), and Norcross Fury ’97 Gold (7-1). In the Final against CFC Chiefs 97 Gold (GA), the U11B White played their best game ever. Regulation ended with the teams tied 2-2, but the thrilling search for the “Golden Goal” in overtime was short indeed as Kendall SC was able to convert in the first 5 minutes, silencing their opponents and claiming the championship trophy.

For their part, the U13B Blue team, coached by Julio Perdomo, had another strong showing against a slate of Georgia teams, reaching the Silver finals after defeating Roswell Santos Blue (3-2), and Triumph Green (2-0) and tying Alpharetta Ambush Red (0-0). In the final they lost a 1-2 heartbreaker against Dacula White, but went home with their heads held high after a good performance.
