11 V. 11 Tournament

U14B White
The road to the title for Luis Fabian Hernandez’ team started with victories over Clay County Rangers (2-0), IUS Elite (2-1) and Pennsylvania’s Montgomery United Black (3-1) in the first round. They never looked back after that, with a convincing 4-1 victory in the semifinal over St. Augustine United and a 3-0 shutout of IUS Elite in the final.

U18B White
The U18B White, who were missing several players that were playing in the state high school championship, still managed to put together a good run of games leading off with convincing wins against Georgia’s Darlington Soccer Academy (3-0) and CFU Kraze (4-1), and earning a 4-4 tie against Pennsylvania’s United German Hungarians Red to secure first place and a pass to the semifinals. In the semis they couldn’t overcome a strong effort from Leg A-Z Caimans, who reached last year’s state semifinals, and lost 1-3.

U15B White
The U15B White, who went in as one of the top seeds of the tournament, led off with a solid 4-0 victory over North Carolina’s FVAA Flash Red, who were fresh of winning the championship at the Tampa Bay Sun Bowl. They capped off the first round with a 5-0 win against Space Coast United Storm and a 1-0 victory over Pennsylvania state semifinalist Brandywine United Galaxy. The team headed into the quarterfinal against Pennsylvania’s other state semifinalist, Montgomery Vikings, with a depleted roster because of injuries and after falling behind early fought hard to catch up, but eventually lost 0-2.

U16B White
The U16B White led off promisingly with wins against North Carolina’s Lake Norman Black (1-0) and Memphis SC (3-0) before dropping a tough match 0-2 at the hands of Massachusetts’ state semifinalists, Inter SC Boston. The loss sent them to the consolation round where the dispirited group fell to Colorado Storm North Red 0-3.

U17B White
The U17B White faced some tough competition and came up one goal short against the Georgia state champions in the game that would have sent them to the semifinals. Aside from their 2-3 loss to AFC Lightning Premier, they scored wins over Pennsylvania’s Ukranian Nationals Bohatyri (1-0) and Mississippi’s Jackson FC (1-0) and earned a 0-0 tie in the consolation round against Pennsylvania state semifinalists Vereinigung Erzgebirge Blast.

U13B White
The U13B White struggled in their first two outings losing 0-6 to South Carolina’s CESA Premier and 2-5 to Boca United, but composed themselves to defeat Pennsylvania’s YMS Celtic (1-0) in their third match and close out the tournament with a strong effort in a 1-2 loss to Region B’s Three Lions FC.
