U9B WHITE DEBUT WITH A BANG!
Team Remains Undefeated After First Seven League Games
December 20, 2007 – Kendall SC’s U9B White have started their club soccer career with the kind of success that promises well for years to come. Halfway into the SFUYSA season, the boys have yet to lose a match, posting a record of 5-0-2. What’s more, in league and tournament play they have showed improvement against top opponents to which they had previously lost in tournament matches.
During the season, the U9B White have scored victories against Wellington Wave (5-1), Lauderhill Lions (2-1), Coral Gables Toros (8-1), Boca Juniors (3-2) and Weston Fury Premier (3-1); with 3-3 ties coming against West Pines United Black and Key Biscayne, a team that already has seven league wins and only lost one game.
The win against Weston Fury Premier came three weeks after Kendall SC had lost to them 0-3 in the Plantation Thanksgiving Tournament. In that tournament, the U9B White also tied Miramar Strikers, a team that they had lost to 1-4 at the West Pines Kickoff Classic. The West Pines team Kendall SC later tied in league play had also won their prior meeting in the West Pines tournament. That kind of progress against the same opponents is what coach Coqui Melean likes to see in his young players and bodes well for their future development.
