Kendall Sc's Training Approach
Kendall SC provides a firm commitment to each and every soccer player within our Club to develop their skills to their highest athletic potential in an environment that is conducive to nurturing responsible young men and women, and to help them showcase those skills at the highest level of competitive soccer available to athletes in the state of Florida and the United States. Our Club and our trainers are passionate about what we do on and off the field, and we expect club members to mirror that passion.

The Kendall SC trainers have the primary responsibility for player development, instruction and education, and for managing the overall growth of our players within our soccer environment.

Kendall SC will provide a 9 to 12-month Training Curriculum depending on the age group. Specific technical, tactical, physical and mental themes will be addressed during the course of the year. Training will be age appropriate to the competitive level, but the ideas and methodology will be consistent throughout all Kendall SC teams during the seasonal year. Specific training needs that arise relative to each team’s competitive performance will also be addressed as needed.

The Kendall SC training staff will evaluate all players twice a year and provide a written evaluation to assess the player’s current level of play and progress made over the year. In addition to team training, Kendall SC may make available a staff of highly-qualified club trainers who can work on individual aspects of technical and skills development outside of scheduled team practices.

Learning to play and make decisions on the field is vital to the development of soccer players. In soccer, the only way to learn how to make GOOD decisions consistently is to make a lot of decisions! The results of those decisions will include many successes and much failure. The beautiful thing about it is that players LEARN FROM BOTH SUCCESS AND FAILURE! Kendall SC players will learn to make their decisions based on match-like training sessions, a challenging level of play, and the direct support of the Kendall SC training staff and Director of Coaches.

The pace at which the players develop is the key to their success and we will manage that accordingly at both an individual and team level. To that effect Kendall SC will place each team at a competitive level of play to develop the team at an appropriate and optimal rate.
Eceptionally talented players, who are also able to meet the physical challenges of competing with older players will be considered for playing up with an older age group. This decision will be entirely up to the discretion of the coach of the older age group's White team and the Director of Coaches.
